Harvard Law School Food Law & Policy Clinic: Now Accepting Applications for Mississippi Delta Fellowship in Clarksdale, MS!

The Mississippi Delta Fellowship connects a recent law school graduate or post-graduate degree recipient to community-centered work in the Mississippi Delta. Based at the Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi (CFNM) in Clarksdale, Mississippi, the Fellowship is a unique opportunity to catalyze community change through developing and managing interdisciplinary projects in the Delta region. The position provides opportunities for professional development, especially in the areas of project management, community relations, coalition building, nonprofit leadership, research, and writing. Previous Fellows have gone on to careers in policymaking, teaching, research, film-making, and professional legal practice in community development.

The Fellow helps coordinate the Delta Directions Consortium (DDC), an interdisciplinary group of academic institutions, community-based organizations, and foundations focused on pursuing improvements in health, food systems, education, and economic development in the Mississippi Delta Region. In addition to working with the CFNM, the Fellow also works closely with the Harvard Law School Food Law & Policy Clinic (of the Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation) (FLPC) and the Harvard Law School Mississippi Delta Project, as well as with other members of the DDC. The Delta Fellowship is supported by the CFNM and the Winokur Family Foundation.

Yale Law School - Law, Environment, & Animals Program Taking Applications for Litigation & Program Fellow

 The Law, Environment & Animals Program (LEAP) at Yale Law School invites applications for a full-time Litigation and Program Fellow for the 2025-26 academic year.

The Fellow will work closely with LEAP’s executive director, legal director, and faculty director to both (1) support and grow the program’s cross-disciplinary initiatives, research, student engagement, and academic programming and (2) be a key contributor to a cross-cutting research initiative focused on the potential for U.S. litigation to hold animal agriculture corporations accountable for their role in the climate crisis.

LEAP is a multidisciplinary program at Yale dedicated to two overarching goals. First, they aim to inspire impactful learning and scholarship about the deep legal, scientific and moral questions that humanity’s treatment of other animals raise. Second, they aim to empower Yale scholars and students to advance positive legal and political change for animals, people, and the environment upon which they depend. The Fellow will be an integral team member of this creative program. A major focus of the Fellow’s work in 2025-26 will be LEAP’s Climate Change & Animal Agriculture Litigation Initiative.

The Tulane Institute on Water Resources Law & Policy: Hiring Senior Research Fellow in New Orleans, LA!

The Tulane Institute on Water Resources Law and Policy works to foster understanding of the complex relationship between people and water. They are located in New Orleans, where water surrounds them. This provides them with a unique vantage point on the front lines of water law and policy. They provide law and policy analysis to decision makers and the public to ensure that water and the ecosystems it supports are maintained for future generations while providing for the needs of the people today. They work with a broad spectrum of institutions and individuals to incorporate science, engineering, and resource management practices to meet our society's ecologic, cultural, and economic needs. 

They are currently searching for a Senior Research Fellow! The aim of the Fellowship is to further the Fellow’s education and career development through participation in the Institute’s programs and activities including:

  • Research on topics relevant to water law and policy
  • Preparation of reports and white papers
  • Coordination and interaction with contractors and colleagues outside of the Law School in furtherance of the Institute’s programs.
