Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research – Director of Strategic Partnerships (Remote, United States)

The Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research supports research that strengthens food systems, improves nutrition access, and promotes resilient farming. FFAR builds public private partnerships to advance scientific solutions and fill research gaps that affect farmers, consumers, and the environment.

FFAR seeks a Director of Strategic Partnerships. You will lead partnership development with agribusinesses, food companies, research institutions, and philanthropic entities. You will secure matching funds, structure complex agreements, and grow collaborations that align with organizational research priorities. You will work alongside scientific program directors to identify prospects, cultivate relationships, and generate public private funding opportunities.

You need experience in agribusiness and crops, including seed companies, input suppliers, crop protection firms, and value chain operations. You should bring strong negotiation skills, comfort managing high level partnerships, and the ability to convert technical content into persuasive proposals. You will manage a CRM pipeline, monitor market trends, travel for meetings and conferences, and represent FFAR in external settings.

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree. FFAR prefers an advanced degree such as an MBA or a related master’s in agriculture, agribusiness, food science, sustainability, or environmental science. You need a minimum of 12 years of professional experience and at least 8 years in partnership or business development roles.

Salary range is $150,000 to $170,000 per year.
