Attorney Advisor, USDA Office of the General Counsel, Washington, D.C.

There are two USDA OGC Attorney Advisor positions announced on USA Jobs.

These positions are located in the Food Assistance International and Rural Division (FAIR) at the headquarters of the Office of the General Counsel (OGC) in Washington D.C., which is an independent legal agency within the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) that provides legal advice and services on a centralized basis to the Secretary of Agriculture and all other officials and agencies of the Department with respect to all USDA programs and activities.

There are two positions associated with this vacancy.

  • The primary purpose of one position is to provide legal services to the Rural Development Mission Area, which provides financial and technical assistance to enhance economic development and improve the quality of life for rural America. The emphasis of this position will be advising on the single family and multi-family programs of the Rural Housing Service. 
  • The primary purpose of the other position is to provide legal services to the Food, Nutrition, and Consumer Services Mission Area, which administers programs that provide food assistance to vulnerable populations across the country including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and the School Meals programs.
