Junior and Visiting Scholar - Environmental Law, Pace University

Call for Nominations for 2018 Haub Environmental Law Distinguished Junior Scholar and 2019 Haub Visiting Scholar

Pace Environmental Law at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University is seeking letters of interest and nominations for its annual Haub Environmental Law Distinguished Junior Scholar and Haub Environmental Visiting Scholar.

The Haub Environmental Law Distinguished Junior Scholar Award is presented annually to an emerging junior environmental law professor who exhibits scholarly excellence and promise at an early stage in his or her career. Pace Law invites the award recipient to present his or her recent scholarship to the Pace Law community.  Past Junior Scholars include Sharon Jacobs (Colorado), Michael Livermore (UVA), Sarah Light (The Wharton School at UPenn), Michael Pappas (Maryland), and Sarah Schindler (Maine).

The Haub Visiting Scholar will be a professional with a proven track record in environmental law, governance, policy, economics and/or science, who has worked in government, academia and/or the nonprofit sector.  The appointment is designed to provide time for reflection and productive work, as well as opportunities to engage with Pace Law students, faculty and staff.  The scholar will be provided a substantial stipend, housing and transportation for a month-long or semester residency.  The Scholar will conduct his or her residency in the spring of 2019 and will present at a major public event, give guest lectures in his or her area of expertise, and generate a publication related to his or her work in affiliation with Pace Law.  The Scholar will also be expected to meet with our environmental law students and attend program events, including an alumni reception.

Please send nominations to Jessica Steinberg Albin, Associate Director of Environmental Law Programs.
