The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) is recruiting for Accreditation Managers to work in the National Organic Program (NOP). The selected candidates will serve as an Agricultural Marketing Specialist (Regulatory) --- otherwise called Accreditation Manager --- within the Accreditation and International Activities (AIA) Division of the National Organic Program. Examples of duties:
- Carries out assignments covering a wide variety of day-to-day operations of the AIA Division.
- Conducts quality system and regulatory compliance audits of accredited certifying agents and government accreditation bodies
- Prepares and reviews audit reports, corrective actions, and adverse action notices as needed
- Prepares documentation for review by the NOP Accreditation Committee and participates in Committee decisions
- Assists in the development or revision of accreditation procedures
- Assists in the preparation of training materials that explain the standards and accreditation processes
- Demonstrates sensitivity to concerns of confidentiality, cultural sensitivity, and ethical behavior in all communications.
