ASPCA is seeking to hir a Director of Farm Animal Legislation. The role of the Director will include lobbying members of Congress and their staff, as well as interfacing with federal agencies to advance pro-farm animal initiatives. The new hire would work closely with the Senior Director of Federal Affairs, the greater Government Relations team, and the farm animal welfare team to develop strategies to advance pro-animal policies in the agriculture policy space, mainly at the federal level, but with some state work included as well. It's a DC-based position, but for the right person, there could be some flexibility for now, with the expectation that the hire would eventually move here when needed.
