FDA Associate with Labeling and Claims Experience

Venable LLP’s FDA Group seeks a midlevel associate to join the Food & Drug Law practice in the Washington, D.C. office.


Venable LLP’s Food & Drug Law Group deals broadly in regulatory work governing foods, dietary supplements, OTC drugs, medical devices, and cosmetics. Experience with some or all of the following is preferred: experience with FTC advertising requirements, claims substantiation, investigations, and regulations; experience with NAD challenges, ingredient reviews, label and labeling compliance, advertising claims safety evaluations, substantiation evaluations, 510(k) assessments, recall issues, import/export issues, FDA inspections, civil investigative demand letters, California Proposition 65, good manufacturing regulations for supplements and new dietary ingredient assessments; experience with state deceptive practices and investigations. The successful candidate has a minimum of two years of experience practicing in a law firm setting, and strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills. The practice seeks a candidate who is a collaborative self-starter, results-oriented, and eager to grow and develop in our broad-based practice. Candidates must hold a juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school and be admitted to and in good standing with the DC bar. Please include law school transcripts with submissions.
