Portland Farmers Market (PFM) is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit organization operating five vibrant, world-class farmers markets in Portland Oregon. Our markets provide a direct connection to more than 200 vendors including farms, nurseries, bakeries, meat and seafood providers, cheese makers and specialty food producers. We contribute to their success and create vibrant community gatherings.

Field Organizer California Climate & Agriculture Network (CalCAN)

The Field Organizer engages food and farming stakeholders across California, supporting their involvement in policy campaigns aimed at creating a climate smart, resilient, and more equitable agricultural system. The Organizer builds relationships with farmers and ranchers, agriculture experts, and community organizations and provides opportunities to participate in and advocate for CalCAN’s policy campaigns. The Organizer collaborates with CalCAN’s team and partners around the state on tactics such as farm tours, meetings with state elected representatives, advisor strategy sessions, and calls to action.

Senior Policy Specialist - Conservation, National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition (Washington, D.C.)

The National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition (NSAC) is seeking a passionate and collaborative policy advocate to represent our Coalition’s conservation policy portfolio. Each Policy Specialist on our team focuses on a variety of issues and interacts with coalition members through issue-specific policy committees; in this role, you will build critical relationships, act strategically to push policies forward, and be well versed in relevant policies and frameworks. If you are just as excited to dive into soil health details with farmers as you are to help Congress understand the importance of these issues, this is the role for you. This position will serve as our in house “expert” on agricultural conservation and environmental issues and legislation, with a specific focus on working lands conservation programs, climate change, renewable energy, and farmland protection programs. In addition, each policy specialist also collaborates with the rest of the policy team on shared campaigns and helps to further our racial equity efforts.

Attorney at Agricultural Labor Relations Board, Visalia Regional Office, California

Under general supervision of the Agricultural Labor Relations Board (ALRB) General Counsel and under the direct supervision of the Regional Director, the incumbent will prosecute violations of the Agricultural Labor Relations Act. This position is heavily concentrated around legal research and writing in support of prosecuting unfair labor practices; interviewing parties and witnesses concerning alleged unfair labor practices at their work sites or homes. The position requires the ability to engage in complex legal research and analysis; draft complaints, subpoenas, briefs and other legal documents; prepare witnesses for hearings and prosecute cases before administrative law judges; conduct settlement negotiations; and seek injunctive relief in superior and appellate courts throughout California. Additionally, the incumbent will provide outreach and training to stakeholders.

AMS Compliance & Enforcement Agricultural Marketing Specialist Position

Compliance and Enforcement Specialists assess and conduct compliance investigations of alleged complaints, trade practices, and violations of the organic regulations for the NOP Compliance and Enforcement Division. Applicants may qualify at the GS-12 or 

GS-13 level. Compliance and Enforcement Specialists are based in Washington D.C.,
