Organic Farming Research: Policy Intern- D.C.

Duration:  Fall/Winter 2011
Compensation:  Modest stipend.
The Organic Farming Research Foundation (OFRF) seeks a Policy Intern to support its policy program activities in Washington, D.C.  OFRF is a farmer-directed, national non-profit organization dedicated to the improvement and widespread adoption of organic farming systems.  OFRF’s Policy Program works to integrate organic agriculture into federal programs and policies.
In the coming months OFRF will continue to gear up for the 2012 Farm Bill campaign, and the Policy Intern will be responsible for certain policy-oriented research projects relevant to the development of that campaign.  Additionally, the Policy Intern will support general policy program activities and have the opportunity to attend meetings, events, and hearings on Capitol Hill, at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and at other agencies.
