Description:

  • The candidate will represent clients in the areas of agriculture, environmental, and natural resources law. May anticipate representing clients on a variety of litigation, regulatory, and transactional matters at the federal, state, and local level pertaining to conservation compliance and programs of the USDA, the Clean Water Act, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service conservation easements, state public water and wetland conservation laws, local land use permitting and controls, and public drainage proceedings. May anticipate working with private landowners and local and special units of government clients on issues pertaining to the management of water quantity and quality. 
Qualifications:
  • All levels of experience, including 2019 graduates, will be considered. Should have excellent interpersonal, analytical, and writing skills along with strong academic and professional credentials. Experience with the agricultural community, including demonstrated contact with farmers, landowners, or farm organizations is preferred. Intellectual curiosity and the desire to solve legal issues farmers experience is required. We anticipate the successful candidate will become licensed in Minnesota and North Dakota.
