Description:
- The Senior Operations Environmental Analyst will support EDPR North America’s operating assets with environmental regulatory compliance matters and EDPR NA’s ISO 14001 certified Environmental, Health & Safety Management System (EHSMS) and will also manage environmental compliance for projects under construction while creating and promoting a culture of environmental excellence and consummate compliance with standards and regulations.
- Manage environmental construction compliance for EDPR NA’s wind and solar projects under construction.
- Provide training and guidance to EDPR NA staff regarding environmental issues for operating assets.
- Advise Operation Managers regarding interpretation of environmental regulations.
- Assist operating sites with compliance with federal, state, and local permitting and regulatory environmental requirements.
- Ensure that permits are obtained, renewed, and closed as needed for operating assets.
- Manage project obligation tracker for operating assets to ensure that fulfillment of permit obligations are documented.
- Ensure that environmental plans and programs are implemented and maintained as required by federal, state, and local regulatory requirements for operating assets.
- Develop, maintain, and improve on a waste management program that strives to minimize waste generation and waste management-related risks.
- Conduct annual compliance assessments of select operating assets.
- Manage, control, and administer environmental management system documents and procedures
- Support EDPR NA’s Environmental Health & Safety Management System (EHSMS) and improvements for operating assets.
- Ensure that environmental records and documentation are properly maintained.
- Supervise the work of environmental consultants.
- Attend agency meetings and site visits as needed and lead strategy meetings.
- Additional duties as required
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 2+ years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 Standard
- Knowledge of EPCRA, SPCC, CWA, and waste management regulations
- Knowledge of wildlife laws (ESA, MBTA, BGEPA) is a plus
- Experience with management system audits is a plus
- Bachelors or better in Environmental and Earth Science or related field.
