Position: President, Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Start Date: 2014

Responsibilities:The president is responsible for carrying out IATP’s mission, providing strategic direction, and ensuring the financial health and stability of the organization. S/he is the public face of IATP to various audiences, including colleagues, funders, policymakers and the media.

Qualities:
IATP is looking for a collaborative, values-driven, visionary leader who is internationalist in perspective, passionate about agriculture and food systems, and skilled at managing a complex, dynamic organization. Successful candidates will have:

• Stature in a relevant field
• Demonstrated leadership experience in advocacy work
• Experience and ability in fundraising
• Experience and ability in developing strategy
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including public speaking
• Ability to engage with many different cultures, constituencies and audiences
• Integrity, humor, intelligence
• Good listening skills
• Willingness and ability to travel
• Experience working with a board
