Consulting for the Wallace Center at Winrock International
The Wallace Center supports entrepreneurs and communities as they build a new, 21st century food system that is healthier for people, the environment, and the economy. The Center builds and strengthens links in the emerging chain of businesses and civic efforts focused on making good food—healthy, green, fair, affordable food—an everyday reality in every community.

Winrock International is a nonprofit organization that works with people in the United States and around the world to empower the disadvantaged, increase economic opportunity, and sustain natural resources. By linking local individuals and communities with new ideas and technology, Winrock is increasing long-term productivity, equity, and responsible resource management to benefit the poor and disadvantaged of the world.

Winrock uses an internal consultant registry to recruit and maintain communication with our short- and long-term consultants. Our Professional Register is one of our most useful resources for identifying experts for technical assistance needs.

How to Become a Registered Consultant with Winrock

Winrock is expanding its pool of qualified, professional consultants for both short- and long-term assignments that can provide technical assistance and capacity building related to food systems within the U.S. We invite consultants with expertise in food systems, value chain development, supply chain logistics, food hub development, supply chain infrastructure management and development, sustainable agriculture, food access and equity, working with vulnerable or minority populations and communities, feasibility studies and business planning, financial planning, strategic planning, marketing, food safety, producer training, processing, post-harvest handling, health, nutrition, natural resource management, urban and rural development, community engagement and development, and related fields to submit your curriculum vitae (CV) or resume for consideration.

Winrock encourages applicants to submit a comprehensive CV which includes your education, languages and level of fluency, relevant experience, list of geographic areas (U.S. states, regions and countries) where you've worked and your current contact information. We encourage you to include full name, address, telephone, and email address but most important is your email address. Our Professional Register is used only by internal Winrock staff who have access to it in order to find consultants for a wide variety of our projects and proposals. Your CV on file remains confidential within Winrock and is never shared or published outside of the organization without your permission.

Only applicants whose CVs show that they have actual experience relevant to Winrock International's work will be accepted into this internal Professional Register of consultants.

Updating Your Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Resume

Once an applicant is accepted and entered into the Register, Winrock will contact you annually for updates to your information. We encourage you to also notify us if you ever have a change in your email address or contact information. We welcome you to also send in updated CVs as you gain additional experience instead of waiting for the annual update request you will receive from us.

Consulting Tools and Resources

Information concerning Winrock’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, travel and safety, health, and other documentation is provided during the consultant selection and hire process for an active proposal or project.
