Global Food Law Research Fellow, Institute for Food Laws & Regulation (IFLR), Michigan State University

The Institute for Food Laws and Regulation (IFLR) in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at Michigan State University is seeking a Research Fellow in Global Food Law. This position is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term appointment at the level of academic specialist (research). This is a one-year appointment with a possibility of renewal for a second year subject to funding and needs.

Professional Qualifications: J.D. or other advanced degree related to global food law. Strong writing, research, and communication skills. Keen motivation to learn and succeed professionally. Interest in global food law scholarship and education. Ability to work collaboratively and independently. Time management and project management skills.

Responsibilities: The successful candidate will organize and implement the Global Food Law Summer Seminar, which involves coordinating a series of speakers and logistics for the seminar; complete at least one mentored research project, which culminates in a manuscript of publishable quality; and participate in program outreach online and at conferences and seminars as appropriate. The Fellow will also assist the program director with other projects supporting the Institute for Food Laws and Regulations and the Master Program in Global Food Law at the Michigan State University College of Law.
