Job Description:

Job Summary:
Prepares orders, pleadings, briefs and other documents for the enforcement of all laws and regulations for which the department is responsible, including administrative hearings and state and federal court actions.Acts as trial and appellate counsel for administrative proceedings, state and federal court trials, and appeals. Acts as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the Department of Agriculture as necessary.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Counsel.
Salary: $55,000-$77,000
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required. Bachelor’s degree in an agriculture or natural resources related field preferred.
Graduation from an accredited law school.
Admission to the bar of the Supreme Court of Kansas and the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas.
Valid driver’s license
