Job Description:

• Develop and implement Responsible Sourcing strategy and partnerships to improve working conditions in Walmart’s global agriculture supply chain.

• Assists in the development, standardization, and implementation of Responsible Sourcing (RS) programs and their procedures

• Manages risk
• Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity

• Reviews and processes potential high-risk compliance issues
• Reviews, evaluates, and approves compliance programs and practices

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Policy or related field and 3 years’ experience in product development, operations management, manufacturing, sourcing, merchandising, project management for governmental or non-governmental organizations, corporate affairs, or related field OR 5 years’ experience in product development, operations management, manufacturing, sourcing, merchandising, project management for governmental or non-governmental organizations, corporate affairs, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

2 years’ experience working directly in Corporate Social Responsibility.
2 years’ experience working within a transnational organization.
2 years supervisory or contract management experience.
3 years’ experience in program design, management, and development for emerging market, supply chains, agricultural standards or related field.
3 years’ experience with developing and executing multi-stakeholder partnerships.
Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Policy or related field.

The West Virginia Farmers Market Association (WVFMA), in conjunction with the WV Community Development Hub, is seeking applicants for the position of Executive Director.

The Executive Director will support the West Virginia Farmers Market Association in its work to assist and promote successful development of farmers markets across West Virginia.  The Executive Director will work with the WVFMA Board, supervise the staff and contractors and collaborate with a wide variety of partners, funders and stakeholders in order to further these goals.

As of 2014, there are currently at least 90 farmers markets operating at 112 locations in WV. These markets accounted for at least $8 million in direct sales in 2014 – up from $4 million in 2012, which is a 200% increase. These markets also served over half a million customers in 2014, bringing

The Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) is a non-profit health-advocacy group based in Washington, D.C., that focuses on nutrition and food safety. CSPI publishes Nutrition Action Healthletter, the nation’s largest-circulation health newsletter. CSPI provides valuable, objective information to the public; represents citizens’ interests before legislative, regulatory, and judicial bodies; and ensures that advances in science are used for the public’s good. CSPI is supported largely by the 850,000 subscribers to its Nutrition Action Healthletter and by foundation grants.

The Nutrition Policy Associate advocates for improved nutrition and health policy with local, state and federal policy makers and engages health professionals, academics, and concerned citizens in supporting nutrition policies. This position reports to the Director of Nutrition Policy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Lobbies, manages coalitions, and conducts grassroots organizing for nutrition policies, programs, and funding at the national, state and local level.
· Provides technical assistance and strategic advice to state and local advocates and policymakers.
· Represents CSPI in coalitions, at conferences, and meetings.
· Cultivates support for nutrition policies from health professionals, organizations, and concerned citizens.
· Writes reports, correspondence, fact sheets and other advocacy materials and conducts policy research.

Qualifications
· Master’s degree (MS, MPH, MPP) in health, policy or nutrition and 3 years of lobbying or legislative experience or BS and 7 years of lobbying or legislative experience.
· Commitment to CSPI’s work and mission.
· Excellent research and writing skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including public speaking experience.
· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and government regulations.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and with supervision; and ability and willingness to work as part of a team.
· Computer proficiency with MSOffice and experience with Internet-based research tools.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and frequent deadlines.

POLICY FELLOW JOB DESCRIPTION
The Resnick Program for Food Law and Policy fellowship is a full-time, two year academic position. The position involves policy and legal research and writing, oversight of a pro bono referral program, as well as assisting with other projects related to the Program’s work. The Policy Fellow may also take on teaching responsibilities.

The Policy Fellow will have two primary responsibilities. The first will be to forward the Resnick Program’s mission through generation of policy-oriented publications and other products on various food law topics. The Policy Fellow will play a leading role in identifying topics for research, and in conducting research and writing. The Policy Fellow may oversee students and interns assisting with research and writing.

Second, the Policy Fellow will take the lead with development and management of a pro bono referral program to provide services to food-related small businesses and non-profits with business and transactional needs. In coordination with UCLA Law’s other experiential programs, the Policy Fellow will engage in attorney recruitment, community outreach, and client intake and referrals. The Policy Fellow will recruit and supervise law students who volunteer time to assist with intake. The Policy Fellow will also coordinate all law student pro bono activities and field placements with the experiential learning pro bono and externship programs.

The Policy Fellow will also assist the Program’s directors with projects relating to the Program’s work, including organizing conferences, workshops, public education and outreach efforts, and other events. In addition to these responsibilities, which will continue year-round, the Policy Fellow may also take on teaching responsibilities in food law topics.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Required Qualifications
o Juris Doctorate from an ABA-accredited law school (earned within the last several years or expected in the spring of 2015).
o A strong academic record.
o Bar admission (if candidate is admitted in a state other than California, must be willing to sit for the California bar exam at the first possible sitting after being hired). If the candidate is currently a 3L, s/he must be planning to sit for the California bar in the summer of 2015.
o Excellent analytical and writing skills.
o Experience with project management.
o A strong interest in food law and policy and a commitment to the Resnick Program mission and the clinic mission.
o An interest in teaching/working with students.
• Recommended Qualifications
o Experience with policy advocacy in food policy, public health, community development, and/or environmental policy.
o An interest in legal scholarship and a record of publication of scholarly work.
