Agricultural Law Faculty Position: Agriculture & the Environment

The University of Arkansas School of Law is hiring for several faculty positions, including one that provides the opportunity to teach half-time in the JD program and half-time in the LL.M. Program. Although teaching packages are flexible, we are particularly interested in someone with expertise in agriculture and the environment.

The School of Law welcomed a new Dean this summer, Dean Katheleen Guzman. Dean Guzman brings positive energy, experienced leadership, and strong support for our faculty and students. With a number of recent retirements, we have a young, energetic faculty that focuses on meaningful scholarship, excellence in teaching, and a commitment to public service. Fayetteville is consistently rated among the best places to live in the US. From the Livability review: "Nestled against the scenic Ozark Mountains, Fayetteville is a natural haven. The city's tight-knit (and welcoming!) community is characterized by outdoor activities, top-rated schools, acclaimed local cuisine and a strong sense of Razorback pride"

Teaching in the LL.M. Program offers the opportunity to have a small class experience with students dedicated to agricultural and food law, excited to learn and willing to explore the complex issues surrounding our food system. Our classes combine recent graduates with experienced attorneys. Thanks to our high-tech classroom, our distance students interact by video seamlessly with the on-campus students. Our alumni are found in at least 40 different states and more than a dozen foreign countries. Scroll through our agfoodllm blog to learn more.

This is an exciting time for our law school, with several faculty positions open, offering a real opportunity for leadership and community. Consider joining us!
