General Mills is seeking a Food Law
Counsel in Minneapolis, MN. The Food Law Counsel will advise the
business on product regulatory issues/requirements while handling a
complete range of food law issues, including:
- Ingredient approvals for food and color additives
- Product claims, such as health claims, nutrient content claims and structure-function claims
- Food safety issues related to FSMA as well as the general adulteration and misbranding provisions of the Federal Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act
Additional Responsibilities Include:
- Participate as the Law Department representative on cross-functional teams
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company’s businesses and business practices; engage in a proactive style of legal practice in order to best serve the business
- Serve as the expert resource for Law Department, regulatory and business colleagues on the issues described above
- Undertake additional responsibilities as determined from time to time
- Travel as required to represent the interests of General Mills
