Opportunities to Develop Ag & Food Law Expertise

The LL.M. Program in Agricultural & Food Law  still has positions available in our Fall 2019 class. We offer fully integrated on-campus and distance attendance options, for full or part-time enrollment.

Students who attend the Program on-campus, with full time enrollment are eligible to apply for our Graduate Assistantship / Fellowship (GA) Program. The award of a GA provides for a full tuition waiver for all LL.M. classes (up to 15 credits per semester), payment of a stipend of $5,000 per semester, and enrollment in the University of Arkansas health insurance system, with the University paying a portion of the premium.  GAs agree to perform work assignments designed to supplement their educational experience and enhance their credentials.

Many of our LL.M. degree candidates are part-time distance students who work full time in a professional capacity. We have USDA employees, practicing attorneys, judicial clerks, state government staff attorneys, and many other skilled professionals as well as recent law graduates. Distance students can video-conference into our class discussions and sometimes come to campus to attend the on-campus portion of condensed courses. Students take as many credits as they wish. Distance students are not eligible for our GAs, but they receive the benefit of paying in-state tuition rates even when they are located outside of Arkansas. Current tuition is less than $600/credit (plus UA fees).  Our classes are all either 1 or 2 credits.
