Assistant Teaching Professor in Food Systems, Nutrition, and Health University of Washington, Seattle, WA

The Nutritional Sciences Program within the School of Public Health at the University of Washington (UW) invites applications for one full-time (100% FTE) non-tenured faculty position at the rank of assistant teaching professor with an anticipated start date of July 2021. Faculty have an annual service period of twelve months.  Salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.  The successful applicant will be appointed to the faculty in the School of Public Health Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences and be core faculty in the Nutritional Sciences Program.

This new faculty position will provide teaching expertise in the areas of food systems, nutrition, and population health. Specific areas the program is interested in expanding instruction include, but are not limited to, connections between food systems and: community nutrition, environmental and occupational health, the built environment, entrepreneurship, supply chain/infrastructure, diplomacy and governance, population health, social sciences, social/food justice, health disparities, and food security.
