The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include to: "Serve as state legislative and regulatory representative with experience in agricultural or natural resources policy[;] Advocate for California’s farmers and ranchers before the California State Legislature, the Office of the Governor, and state agencies. Advocacy responsibilities include bill and regulatory analyses, recommending policy positions to Division Manager; communications with appropriate legislators, administration, and regulatory staff; and coordination with CFBF policy, political affairs and communications staff where appropriate."
