Oxfam America seeks a Policy Advisor to support its Natural Resource Justice Global Program, focused on advancing human rights, transparency, and accountability in the oil, gas, and mining sectors. This role supports global advocacy efforts addressing inequality, corruption, and environmental harm linked to extractive industries, with close collaboration across Oxfam teams and country programs in Latin America, Africa, and Asia.
You will help design and implement advocacy strategies targeting the U.S. government, corporations, investors, and international financial institutions. The role includes policy and political analysis, support for country led campaigns, research coordination, donor reporting, and contribution to monitoring, learning, and evaluation efforts. You will also represent Oxfam in external meetings and conferences and support program coordination and grant management.
Ideal candidates bring three to five years of experience in policy, advocacy, or campaigns, strong writing and research skills, and subject matter familiarity with extractive industries, human rights, or global inequality. A bachelor’s degree is required, with an advanced degree and French or Spanish skills preferred.
Compensation ranges from $75,000 to $85,000 annually.
