Lactalis USA is seeking a Senior Counsel to serve as a legal advisor on FDA, USDA, FTC, state consumer protection, food labeling, and food advertising requirements, monitoring developments in food law and emerging regulatory trends.
A Senior Counsel will have responsibilities in the areas of food law and regulatory compliance, regulatory enforcement, litigation risk management, cross-functional partnership, business support (providing strategic advisory support and delivering trainings on food law), CSR, and emerging regulatory issues.
Candidates should have a J.D. from an accredited law school, at least one bar admission, 6 to 8 years’ experience with a national law firm and/or in-house legal department, and significant experience in food law, FDA regulation, consumer products regulation, advertising law, or a related practice area. Experience advising consumer packaged goods, food, beverage, dairy, or other regulated industries is strongly preferred.
Salary Range: $165,000 - 190,000
