Oxfam America is seeking a Policy Advisor to support its Natural Resource Justice program, focusing on advocacy, policy analysis, and campaign strategy related to extractive industries, human rights, and inequality. This role works closely with global and regional teams to advance accountability and justice efforts connected to oil, gas, and mining sectors.
Responsibilities include developing advocacy strategies targeting governments, corporations, and international financial institutions, supporting regional and country offices on policy and campaign initiatives, conducting political and policy analysis, and monitoring developments related to extractive industries and human rights. The role also involves supporting research, donor reporting, grants management, and organizational learning efforts, while representing Oxfam in external meetings and coalitions.
Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience in policy, advocacy, or campaign work, along with knowledge of extractive industries, transparency, human rights, or inequality issues. Strong writing, project management, and communication skills are required, as well as the ability to work across teams and international contexts. Spanish or French language skills are preferred.
Salary range: $75,000 to $85,000.
