The Corporate Counsel will be responsible for providing practical, day-to-day legal support across a broad range of commercial matters. This role will partner closely with procurement and various business departments throughout the Company on commercial contracts and provide guidance to the business on matters related to marketing and promotions, data privacy, and data security.

Responsibilities include drafting/reviewing/negotiating/managing vendor, supplier, and other commercial agreements to protect the company’s interests and support business objectives, identifying and reducing contractual, operational, and regulatory risks by addressing liability, indemnification, insurance, and compliance requirements, and working closely with several internal departments on strategic initiatives, while also supporting insurance and information security matters.

Candidates need to have a J.D. from an accredited law school and active licensure in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, approximately 3-5 years of commercial contracting experience, strong legal research, writing, and communication skills, sound judgment, strong attention to detail, and a practical business-oriented approach. In-house experience or experience supporting multi-state retail clients preferred, but not required.
