Cargill - Senior Manager, Government Relations

Cargill is seeking a Senior Manager to support both its federal and international policy advocacy efforts as it grows its U.S. Government Relations team. This role will manage a diverse and evolving portfolio of policy issues, support the Directors on the team, and offer the opportunity to work at the intersection of food, agriculture, and innovation.

Responsibilities include supporting Directors on cross-cutting issues such as trade, sustainability, nutrition, transportation, energy, and workforce, organizing and participating in meetings, forums and events with government officials to share insights and advance Cargill’s policy priorities, monitoring legislative and regulatory developments, and providing strategic counsel to internal stakeholders.

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, at least four years of related work experience, the ability to support senior leaders and collaborate across diverse teams, an understanding of global trade, sustainability, nutrition, transportation, energy, and/or workforce policy issues, strong communication and relationship building skills, and experience on Capitol Hill or in a trade association.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000
