• The Iowa Department of Agriculture is seeking to fill the position of Division Director for the Division of Food Safety and Animal Health and the Division of Consumer Protection and Industry Services.  The Division Director provides overall supervisory management of staff; determines and develops Division strategy and policy in close conjunction with the Secretary of Agriculture; performs related work, as required.

• Provide overall supervisory management of the Food Safety and Animal Health Division and Consumer Protection and Industry Services Division within the Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship. This includes the Animal Industry, Commercial Feed and Fertilizer, Dairy Products Control, Meat and Poultry Inspection, Pesticide, Laboratory, Grain Warehouse, Weights and Measures, Entomology, and Ag Diversification and Market Development bureaus. Develop and implement a long-term strategy for Division programs, processes and structure, in close conjunction with the Secretary of Agriculture. Understand and advise on all Division regulatory programs. Serve as a key resource in evaluating and recommending solutions to administrative, financial and regulatory issues.
