Brookshire Grocery Company is seeking a corporate counsel who has an understanding of general principles of law along with an ability to support business objectives while identifying legal risks and parameters.
Responsibilities include providing day-to-day legal advice to all levels of the company and affiliate companies, drafting/reviewing/negotiating a wide range of legal documents, assisting in the resolution of contractual and commercial disputes, and conducting research and interpretation of legal and regulatory requirements.
Candidates should have a J.D. from an ABA accredited law school, 5 or more years of legal experience with a law firm and/or in-house (or an equivalent combination of experience and/or higher education), and a license to practice law in the state of Texas and in good standing.
