John Deere – Corporate Counsel, Commercial Contracts (Moline, IL or Des Moines, IA)

John Deere seeks a Corporate Counsel to support commercial contracting for its global supply chain organization. Based at World Headquarters in Moline, Illinois or Des Moines, Iowa, this role advises on the purchase of goods and services that support John Deere’s manufacturing and operations worldwide.

In this role, you will draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, advise business partners on UCC Article 2 and service agreements, and help resolve supplier disputes. You will collaborate closely with supply chain leaders, internal legal teams, and global stakeholders to manage risk, ensure compliance, and develop standardized contract templates and playbooks. The role also includes providing legal training and supporting adoption of contract lifecycle management tools.

Ideal candidates have at least three years of experience with commercial contracts involving goods and services, strong knowledge of UCC Article 2, and experience negotiating service agreements. Smithfield Foods – Associate Regulatory Affairs Manager, BioScience (Cincinnati, OH)

Smithfield Foods seeks an Associate Regulatory Affairs Manager to support BioScience operations within its Food Safety and Quality Assurance team. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with cGMP, FDA, and applicable pharmaceutical quality requirements for Smithfield’s bioscience products, including heparin sodium.

In this role, you will support internal, supplier, customer, and FDA audits; maintain quality records and laboratory documentation; review products, packaging, and labels; assist with validation protocols; and support regulatory filings and correspondence. You will work closely with QA, laboratory, and production teams to develop corrective actions, strengthen quality systems, and ensure end to end product integrity. Long Island Farm Bureau – Policy and Promotion Coordinator (Long Island, NY)

Long Island Farm Bureau is a grassroots agricultural advocacy organization representing farmers and the agriculture industry across Long Island. The organization advances public policy, promotes agriculture, and supports its members through advocacy, education, and community engagement.

LIFB seeks a Policy and Promotion Coordinator to lead public policy coordination, advocacy, and communications. Reporting to the Executive Director, you will monitor and engage on state and local agricultural issues, represent LIFB policies before government and community stakeholders, and coordinate policy positions with the New York Farm Bureau. You will support grassroots advocacy efforts and work with NYFB public policy staff and committees.

You will manage communications and promotion by maintaining the website and social media, creating newsletters and promotional materials, and representing LIFB at meetings and events. You will also support membership and leadership development, assist with recruitment and retention, coordinate Young Farmers and Ranchers activities, and help plan events, fundraisers, and grant opportunities.

You should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in public policy, communications, agriculture, or a related field. Experience in nonprofit or public sector work is preferred, along with strong communication skills and the ability to engage diverse stakeholders. Grant writing or fundraising experience is a plus. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

This is a full time salaried position with day and evening hours and regular travel across Suffolk County, Nassau County, and New York City. Starting salary is $66,300, with cost shared health insurance, paid vacation, sick leave, and mileage reimbursement.
