Insomnia Cookies is expanding its in house legal team as it grows across the U.S., Canada, and the U.K. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, the Director, Legal Counsel will serve as a key business partner to Operations, People, Growth, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Digital. This is a full time, on site role based at the company’s headquarters in Philadelphia.

You will lead contract management across the company, drafting and negotiating leases, supply and manufacturing agreements, vendor and marketing contracts, technology agreements, and service contracts. You will advise on risk allocation, compliance, and dispute resolution, and partner with outside counsel on litigation, employment, IP, and regulatory matters. The role also includes supporting employment compliance, reviewing marketing and digital materials, overseeing elements of the trademark portfolio, and helping build scalable templates, processes, and playbooks to support growth.

This role sits at the intersection of product strategy and regulatory risk, guiding labeling, claims, ingredient, and advertising compliance across the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, and the Caribbean.

You will serve as the day to day owner of North America food law governance, defining legal risk posture from concept through commercialization.
