Bunge — Federal Government Affairs Leader (Washington, DC)

Bunge is hiring a senior government affairs professional to lead federal policy engagement for its North America region. This role is based in Washington, DC and focuses on influencing and monitoring federal legislative and regulatory developments impacting the agriculture and food sector.

You will engage directly with Congressional offices and Administration officials, manage key industry association and stakeholder relationships, and contribute to overall government affairs strategy. The role includes analyzing policy risks and opportunities, advising internal business leaders, and navigating complex legislative and rulemaking processes. You will serve as a strategic advisor on public policy issues affecting global agribusiness, with particular relevance to agriculture and energy intersections.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree and have at least 12 years of experience in public policy, government affairs, or government. Deep knowledge of Congressional and administrative processes is required. Strong communication skills and the ability to operate in a fast paced, high stakes policy environment are essential. Domestic travel up to 15 percent is expected.

Salary range: $186,668 to $233,335.
