Ferrero — Associate Legal Counsel, Food Law & Regulatory

Ferrero North America is hiring an Associate Legal Counsel to join its Food Law and Regulatory team. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy and regulatory risk, guiding labeling, claims, ingredient, and advertising compliance across the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, and the Caribbean.

You will serve as the day to day owner of North America food law governance, defining legal risk posture from concept through commercialization. The role partners closely with Innovation, R&D, Quality, Marketing, and Institutional Affairs to build scalable approval tools, strengthen substantiation frameworks, and position products to withstand regulatory scrutiny and consumer protection litigation. You will advise on labeling and claims compliance, advertising substantiation, additive and chemical regulations including Prop 65 and PFAS related frameworks, and FSMA obligations. The role also includes developing policies, SOPs, checklists, and trainings to support speed to market while reducing class action exposure.

Candidates must hold a JD with U.S. bar admission and have 5 to 7 years of CPG food law or regulatory experience, either in house or at a firm. Deep expertise in labeling, claims, warning laws, and governance processes is required. Experience working across multiple product categories and collaborating with cross functional teams is strongly preferred.

Salary range: $126,489 to $168,653 annually.
