Bel Group — Regulatory Affairs Manager, CPG (New York, NY)

Bel Group, maker of Babybel, GoGo squeeZ, The Laughing Cow, and Boursin, is hiring a Regulatory Affairs Manager to lead regulatory oversight for its U.S. business unit. This hybrid role is based in New York and supports product innovation, compliance, and market expansion across a national portfolio of consumer packaged food brands.

You will develop and implement regulatory strategies to ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and other applicable food regulations. The role includes reviewing and approving product labels, marketing materials, and digital content; monitoring evolving regulatory developments; guiding new ingredient adoption and product innovation; and leading regulatory change initiatives from proposal through implementation.

You will collaborate closely with R&D, Marketing, Legal, and Quality teams, provide clear and actionable regulatory guidance, manage multiple concurrent projects, and mentor team members. The position also involves contributing to internal policy development, supporting crisis management, and engaging with external industry peers to stay ahead of regulatory trends.

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in food science or a related field, have at least eight years of regulatory affairs experience in the food industry, and possess direct experience with FDA and USDA regulations. Experience managing direct reports is required.

Salary range: $120,000 to $140,000.
