International Dairy Foods Association — Director, Government Relations (Washington, DC)

The International Dairy Foods Association is hiring a Director of Government Relations to lead federal advocacy efforts on behalf of U.S. dairy processors and manufacturers. This Washington, DC based hybrid role supports legislative strategy and engages directly with Members of Congress, federal agencies, and coalition partners.

You will monitor and analyze legislation and regulations, develop and implement advocacy strategies, and advance policy priorities related to workforce, immigration, transportation and supply chain, trade, nutrition, sustainability, and regulatory oversight. The role includes building relationships on Capitol Hill and within the Administration, preparing briefing materials, supporting PAC activities, and presenting policy updates to member companies.

Candidates should have at least seven years of federal government affairs or public policy experience, strong knowledge of the legislative and regulatory process, and demonstrated success influencing policy outcomes. Experience in agriculture or food policy is preferred.
