Carbon180 — Government Affairs Advisor (Washington, DC)

Carbon180 is seeking a Government Affairs Advisor to support its mission to scale carbon removal solutions through federal policy and advocacy. This role works closely with the Government Affairs team to advance congressional and administrative strategies, with a focus on climate, agriculture, and forestry policy.

Responsibilities include tracking legislation, hearings, and policy developments, building relationships with congressional offices and partner organizations, and supporting strategic planning across teams. The role also involves managing databases and tracking engagement, coordinating meetings and events, and representing the organization in policy discussions and external engagements.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience in government, nonprofit, or public policy roles, with knowledge of legislative processes and issue advocacy related to climate, energy, or environmental policy. Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills are required, along with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Salary range: $121,959 to $130,993.
