Welch’s – Manager, Sustainability and Regulatory Compliance (Waltham, MA)

Welch’s seeks a Manager of Sustainability and Regulatory Compliance to serve as the internal expert on environmental, packaging, and sustainability compliance. Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, you will analyze emerging regulations and translate them into clear business guidance. You will focus on packaging, materials, labeling, environmental claims, and climate reporting within a CPG and food and beverage context.

You will monitor and interpret regulations such as EPR, PCR, recyclability standards, bottle bills, and climate disclosures. You will build compliance frameworks, model cost and risk scenarios, and support cross functional decision making with Packaging, R&D, Brand, Finance, and Operations. You will manage regulatory filings, ensure audit readiness, and help position sustainability as a competitive advantage grounded in accurate and defensible claims.

You need five to seven years of experience in CPG or food and beverage, strong analytical skills, and working knowledge of environmental or packaging regulations. You should be comfortable operating as an individual contributor and influencing through expertise and clear communication. A bachelor’s degree is required, with preference for environmental, sustainability, packaging, science, engineering, policy, or business fields.
