The Common Market – Executive Director, Mid Atlantic (Philadelphia, PA)

The Common Market seeks an Executive Director to lead its Mid Atlantic Chapter, headquartered in Philadelphia and serving NY, NJ, PA, MD, DE, and the DMV. This role oversees regional operations, sales, partnerships, and financial performance while advancing an equitable, values based food system that connects family farmers with institutions such as schools, hospitals, and universities.

As the senior regional leader, you will manage warehouse and logistics operations, lead a multidisciplinary team, own the chapter’s P&L, and drive revenue growth through institutional sales and partnerships. You will serve as the public face of the Mid Atlantic Chapter, building strong relationships with farmers, customers, funders, and community leaders, while collaborating closely with national leadership.

This role is hands on and operational. Success requires comfort managing frontline teams, supply chains, and financial performance in a mission driven enterprise. Ideal candidates bring 7 to 10 plus years of leadership experience in operations, logistics, food distribution, or social enterprise, with strong people management, financial acumen, and a deep commitment to equity and food systems change.

This is a full time, on site role based in Philadelphia, with 20 to 30 percent regional travel. Compensation is $130,000 annually.
