Cargill seeks a Contracts Associate Lawyer to support its global business by drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts. This role partners closely with business teams and legal colleagues to enable procurement, manufacturing, technology, construction, sales, and licensing transactions while managing legal risk in a fast paced environment.
In this position, you will negotiate third party agreements, develop and maintain contract templates and playbooks, support workflow and contract lifecycle management systems, and independently handle complex contract matters. You will also contribute to special projects, provide leadership within defined contract categories, and collaborate across a global legal team.
Ideal candidates hold a JD from an ABA accredited law school, are licensed in the US, and bring at least five years of experience in commercial contracts, particularly procurement, capital expenditure, or construction agreements. Strong judgment, communication skills, and comfort working with ambiguity are essential. Experience with CLM systems and automation is a plus.
This is a full time hybrid role based in Wayzata, Minnesota, requiring in office work approximately three days per week. Compensation is approximately $110,000 to $140,000 annually.
