The National Audubon Society seeks a Senior Manager, Policy to lead state and federal policy efforts advancing bird conservation and climate priorities in Washington State. Reporting to Audubon’s Vice President, Washington, this role shapes and executes policy strategies focused on clean energy and climate policy, conservation funding, habitat protection, and working and public lands.
In this position, you will develop and implement Audubon’s Washington policy agenda, build bipartisan relationships with elected officials, Tribal governments, agencies, and coalitions, and serve as a primary advocate and spokesperson for Audubon’s conservation priorities. You will collaborate closely with state and national teams, expand grassroots advocacy capacity, and support fundraising and partnership efforts tied to policy campaigns.
Ideal candidates bring 7 or more years of experience in public policy, government relations, or conservation advocacy, strong knowledge of Washington’s political landscape, and a proven ability to build coalitions and influence policy outcomes. This is a full time role based in Seattle. Compensation ranges from $115,000 to $129,000 annually, with comprehensive benefits.
