The Council for Healthy Food Systems supports farmers and local food producers through education and regulatory guidance. The organization focuses on helping producers navigate federal and state programs, especially USDA services.

CHFS seeks a Regulatory and Referral Program Manager to lead regulatory education and referral support for grant funded farmer assistance programs. You will develop clear guidance materials, manage regulatory research, and help build and oversee a new Regulatory Support and Resource Referral Call Line. You will handle complex participant cases, maintain agency referral pathways, and support outreach and education efforts.

You should have experience with regulatory programs, USDA or public sector systems, compliance education, or related research. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential. A legal background is helpful but not required.

Salary is $65,000 per year. This is a fully remote role based in Texas and a three year grant funded position.

To apply, email a cover letter, resume, and two to three writing samples to Judith@HealthyFoodSystems.org
