Tulane University seeks a Senior Research Fellow to join its Institute on Water, Law & Policy beginning in August 2026. This fellowship supports early career legal scholars interested in water law, water policy, and resource stewardship through applied research and program engagement.
In this role, you will conduct research on water law and policy topics, prepare reports and white papers, coordinate with external partners and contractors, supervise research assistants, and develop at least one public presentation. The position integrates research, collaboration, and professional development within the Law School’s interdisciplinary water programs.
Ideal candidates earned a JD or LLM within the past two years, demonstrate strong academic performance, and show a clear interest in water management and policy. Knowledge of environmental, administrative, or property law is expected, along with strong writing and communication skills. Prior experience in water resources is preferred.
This is a full time, salaried fellowship based in New Orleans, with occasional travel for conferences or meetings. Compensation follows Tulane’s salaried pay structure and includes access to the university’s comprehensive benefits package.
