Venable LLP — Mid Level Associate, Food & Drug Law Group (Washington, DC)

Venable LLP is hiring a mid level associate to join its nationally recognized Food and Drug Law practice in Washington, DC. The group advises leading food, dietary supplement, medical device, cosmetic, OTC, and prescription drug companies on complex regulatory, advertising, compliance, and enforcement matters.

You will counsel clients on FDA regulatory strategy, product classification, labeling, and compliance across foods, supplements, OTC drugs, cosmetics, medical devices, and prescription drugs. The role includes medical device premarket pathways and 510(k)s, FTC advertising compliance and claims substantiation, NAD proceedings, civil investigative demands, state AG investigations, FDA inspections and warning letters, recalls, GMP compliance, Proposition 65, NDIs, import and supply chain issues, and consumer protection risk assessments.

Candidates must have at least three years of relevant experience in a law firm or comparable regulatory setting, strong writing and analytical skills, and the ability to manage matters independently while collaborating with senior attorneys. A JD and admission to the DC Bar, or eligibility for prompt admission, are required.

Salary range: $215,000 to $355,000.
