FMI is seeking a Vice President of Fresh Foods to lead strategy and engagement across core fresh categories including meat, poultry, seafood, produce, deli, bakery, fresh prepared foods, and in store foodservice. This hybrid role requires two days per week in the Arlington, Virginia office.
You will build and grow FMI’s Fresh Foods community across retailers, manufacturers, growers, and suppliers. The role leads industry councils and forums, identifies emerging trends and regulatory issues, and develops education, research, collaboration, and revenue generating programs that deliver measurable value to members. You will also oversee the Fresh Foods strategic plan and budget, coordinate partnerships with key industry stakeholders, and serve as a visible spokesperson through public speaking and media engagement.
Candidates should bring at least 15 years of professional management experience, including leadership in food retail or fast moving consumer goods. Strong strategic thinking, revenue development, relationship building, and facilitation skills are required. Experience managing industry councils and navigating consumer trends, technology, and regulatory landscapes is highly valued.
