Walmart – Counsel, Product Regulatory and Consumer Protection

Walmart seeks a Counsel to support its Regulatory & Specialty Legal team, advising highly regulated areas of the U.S. business on product compliance and consumer protection requirements. This cross functional role partners closely with Compliance, Merchandising, Private Brands, and Marketing teams to identify regulatory risk, guide substantiation for product claims, and help align internal policies with current agency standards.

In this role, you will assess regulatory exposure across product categories, collaborate with internal stakeholders to build compliant processes, analyze advertising and labeling claims, and help reduce enforcement risk by anticipating how regulators may view certain products and representations. You will also coordinate with legal and compliance teams to resolve concerns and recommend risk mitigation strategies.

Ideal candidates bring experience working at a regulator such as the FDA, FTC, or FCC, or at a law firm focused on consumer product regulation. Experience advising on eCommerce compliance, working in large cross functional environments, and supporting internal business teams is strongly valued. A law degree, active bar license, and at least four years of legal experience are required.

The annual salary range for this role is $110,000 to $220,000.
