UNFI is hiring a Corporate Counsel to support its Corporate and Strategic Transactions team within the Legal Department. This remote role supports nationwide wholesale and retail operations, with occasional travel to offices or distribution centers as needed.
You will draft, review, and negotiate customer sales agreements, vendor and food supplier contracts, technology agreements, real estate agreements, and related amendments and statements of work. You will advise business teams on contract interpretation, disputes, and risk mitigation, and support broader strategic or corporate transactions. The role also includes developing templates, improving contracting processes, and delivering training to internal stakeholders.
Candidates must hold a JD, be admitted to a state bar, and have 3 to 6 years of law firm or in house experience with commercial contracts and corporate law. Experience in food distribution or technology transactions is a plus. Strong drafting, negotiation, and organizational skills are required, along with the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast paced environment.
