Unilever — Senior Sustainability Manager, Climate & Nature Standards (London, UK)

Unilever is hiring a Senior Sustainability Manager to strengthen its engagement with global climate and nature standards, including the GHG Protocol, Science Based Targets initiative, Science Based Targets for Nature, and major certification schemes. This hybrid role is based at 100 Victoria Embankment in London, with three days per week in office.

You will assess evolving global standards and translate technical requirements into actionable strategies across renewable energy, regenerative agriculture, deforestation free sourcing, sustainable procurement, and transition planning. The role serves as the internal connector across Sustainability, Procurement, Finance, Supply Chain, Legal, and business groups to ensure unified positions and credible, auditable disclosures aligned with CSRD, ESRS, and investor expectations. You will also integrate climate and nature metrics into enterprise risk management and double materiality assessments.

Externally, you will represent Unilever in engagements with SBTi, GHG Protocol, SBTN, and certification bodies such as RSPO, RTRS, and FSC. You will shape standards development through industry coalitions and provide thought leadership on biomethane, renewable energy certificates, carbon markets, removals, regenerative agriculture, and nature related risk.

Candidates should have deep expertise in GHG accounting, climate and nature disclosure frameworks, and experience engaging with global standards bodies. Strong stakeholder management, technical fluency in land use and energy systems, and the ability to translate complex guidance into clear strategic positions are essential.
