Maryland Sea Grant — Maryland Law & Policy Fellow

Maryland Sea Grant is hiring a Law and Policy Fellow to work at the intersection of law, policy, and environmental research. This fellowship places you on a team of legal experts and scientists focused on coastal and environmental issues. Applications are due April 15, 2026.

In this role, you will provide legal research, writing, and educational assistance. You will conduct legal scholarship on coastal law and policy topics such as aquaculture, sea level rise, and stormwater management. You will also gain professional development experience working with diverse audiences across the legal and scientific communities.

Candidates must have earned a JD or equivalent LLM for foreign trained attorneys within the last three years. Bar admission is not required.
