Kate Farms — Commercial Contracts Counsel (Temporary, Remote)

Kate Farms is seeking a Commercial Contracts Counsel for a temporary five month assignment beginning in March 2026. The role supports the legal department during an employee leave and focuses on maintaining continuity across contract management, legal research, and privacy compliance.

You will draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including customer, supplier, manufacturing, and distribution contracts. The role also includes managing contract administration, maintaining documentation within contract management systems, and helping develop contract templates and playbooks to support consistent legal workflows. You will work closely with commercial teams to provide timely legal guidance, elevate risks to the General Counsel when necessary, and ensure contracts align with business and legal requirements.

Additional responsibilities include assisting with the company’s privacy program, supporting responses to privacy rights requests, drafting and maintaining privacy policies, and conducting legal research to support business initiatives.

Candidates must hold a JD and be admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction with a minimum of five years of legal experience focused on commercial contracts and transactions. Strong drafting, negotiation, and organizational skills are required, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment. Experience with contract management systems such as HighQ is preferred.

Compensation: $85 to $100 per hour.
