The Council for Healthy Food Systems is seeking a Farmer Support & Regulatory Navigation Manager to help farmers and ranchers navigate regulatory and government program systems. This role focuses on translating complex regulatory frameworks into clear, practical guidance and providing hands-on support to producers working through real-world challenges. The Manager plays a central role in launching and developing a Regulatory Support and Resource Referral Call Line.
The position involves working directly with farmers to answer questions, resolve barriers, and identify available options within regulatory and program systems. The Manager will research unfamiliar regulations, interpret how they apply in specific situations, and develop accessible materials to support producers. Over time, the role shifts toward handling complex cases, refining tools and resources, maintaining relationships with agencies, and ensuring the program reflects the needs of farmers.
Candidates should have experience working with regulatory or government program environments and strong problem-solving and communication skills. This is not a legal representation role. The ideal candidate is comfortable learning new regulatory frameworks, applying them in practical contexts, and working closely with individuals to move issues forward.
Salary: $65,000/year (3-year grant-funded position).
