Clinical Teaching Fellow – Environmental Law Clinic: University of Denver Sturm College of Law (Denver, Colorado)

The University of Denver Sturm College of Law is seeking a Clinical Teaching Fellow for its Environmental Law Clinic as part of the Christopher N. Lasch Clinical Teaching Program. This fellowship is a three-year program designed to train future clinical law faculty through a combination of teaching, supervision, scholarship, and direct client representation. Fellows will work within the Student Law Office, a nationally recognized clinical program that provides students with hands-on legal experience representing clients across a range of practice areas.

The selected fellow will supervise second- and third-year law students, assist in teaching clinical seminars, and engage in environmental litigation and administrative advocacy. The Environmental Law Clinic handles matters including enforcement of air pollution laws, representation of environmental justice organizations in rulemakings, and participation in Colorado water law proceedings. Fellows will also complete an LL.M. degree, participate in a clinical pedagogy seminar, and produce publishable legal scholarship.

Candidates must hold a J.D. and have at least three years of environmental law and litigation experience. Strong written and oral communication skills are required, along with a commitment to inclusive teaching. Admission to the Colorado Bar or willingness to seek admission is required. Experience supervising students or working with community groups is preferred.

Salary: $70,000 (Year 1), $72,500 (Year 2), $75,000 (Year 3).
